Safeguarding - Keeping You Safe
Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk
Your safety and wellbeing are very important to us.
Safeguarding means protecting children, young people and adults from abuse, neglect, or harm and making sure they are supported to live safely.
Everyone has the right to feel safe.
What Is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding is about:
- Protecting people from abuse, neglect, exploitation or harm
- Promoting health, wellbeing, dignity and human rights
- Taking action when there are concerns about someone’s safety
Safeguarding applies to:
- Children and young people
- Adults who may be at risk, including older people, people with disabilities, mental health needs, or those experiencing domestic abuse
How Our Practice Keeps Patients Safe
All staff at the practice have a responsibility to help keep patients safe.
We do this by:
- Having trained safeguarding leads for children and adults
- Making sure all staff receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role
- Working closely with local safeguarding services in Solihull
- Recording and sharing information safely and appropriately when there are concerns
- Taking action if we believe someone is at risk, even if they have not asked for help
If You Are Worried About Your Own Safety
You can speak to:
- A GP, nurse, or healthcare professional
- A member of our reception or practice team (they will help you speak to the right person)
You do not have to share every detail — we can help you decide what to do next.
If you are in immediate danger, please call 999.
If You Are Worried About Someone Else
If you are concerned about the safety of:

- An adult who may be at risk
